Marc Brickman

Marc Brickman is a world-renowned lighting and production designer known for his long-standing collaboration with Pink Floyd and his innovative work across music, film, and large-scale public events.

His association with the band spans decades. He served as a lighting consultant for the original The Wall tour (1980–1981) and later took on roles as production designer and creative director for tours such as A Momentary Lapse of Reason (1987) and The Division Bell (1994).

Brickman is recognized as an industry innovator who pioneered the use of theatrical lighting for major events, including the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. His diverse portfolio includes work with artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Barbra Streisand, and Cirque du Soleil, as well as contributions to films directed by Steven Spielberg and Sam Raimi.

"The Lost Documentary" offers a behind-the-scenes look at the production of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" concerts, which took place at Earls Court, London, in August 1980.

The original footage was directed by Brickman in 1981 and included interviews with the band and their crew. It was intended for television but was ultimately shelved and remained in the archives for nearly 25 years.

The documentary captures the scale of the production, which required approximately 30 tons of equipment for the staging of "The Wall." It documents a historically significant period, as these performances were the band's last with all the original members who recorded the album.

It includes interviews with figures such as Roger Waters, James Guthrie, Harvey Goldsmith, Jonathan Park, Mark Fisher, Seth Goldman, Rocky Paulson, and several members of the technical crew.

This release is classified as an unofficial, limited-distribution DVD.
