A critic once (after a London concert) welcomed Pink Floyd back to this planet. Though their music is often unearthly and even other-worldly. we have it on the best authority that the group makes its home in or near London: and we know for certain that their music is more popular on Earth than anywhere.

"Ummagumma" is Pink Floyd's latest album. The title is reported to have such an, um, er, informal colloquial meaning that no one in the colonies knows what it signifies. But then they also wrote "Several Species Of Small Animals Gathered Together Grooving with a Pict." (See Ummagumma. Harvest ST813-388).

Pink Floyd will turn you on: also inside out, upside down, backwards, forwards, and into a pretzel. They play live, and it's one thing: then they go to a recording Studio and go bananas with the funny knobs and electronic apparatus. It's a trip worth taking.
