Woke Up This Morning.
(B.B. King)
I woke up this morning, my baby was gone
Woke up this morning, my baby was gone
I've been so bad, I'm all alone
I ain't got nobody stayin' home with me
I ain't got nobody stayin' home with me
My baby she's gone, I'm in misery
Well baby, I'm all alone
Yes baby, I'm all alone
I ain't got no lovin'
Since my baby's been gone
All right
Oh baby, I'm all alone
Oh baby, I'm all alone
My baby she's gone, I'm in misery
Oh baby, I'm all alone
Oh baby, I'm all alone
I ain't had no lovin' since my baby's been gone.
The Thrill Is Gone.
(Roy Hawkins)
The thrill is gone
The thrill is gone away
The thrill is gone baby
The thrill is gone away
You know you done me wrong baby
And you'll be sorry someday
The thrill is gone
It's gone away from me
The thrill is gone baby
The thrill is gone away from me
Although I'll still live on
But so lonely I'll be
The thrill is gone
It's gone away for good
Oh, the thrill is gone baby
Baby its gone away for good
Someday I know I'll be over it all baby
Just like I know a man should
You know I'm free, free now baby
I'm free from your spell
I'm free, free now
I'm free from your spell
And now that it's over
All I can do is wish you well.
You Know It Ain't Right.
(Walter Jacobs)
You know it ain't right to treat me like you do
Well you know it ain't right to treat me like you do
Well you don't want me, do these things me will you?
Well you know it ain't right to treat me this way
Well you know it ain't right to treat me this way
You takes my money then goes out to play
You know it ain't right to treat me like you did
You know it ain't right to treat me like you did
You got another man you can keep him here
You know it ain't right to stay out all night long
You know it ain't right to stay out all night long
I ain't got nobody to carry my business on.
Change My Life.
(White, Harada, Bell, Allen)
I used to cheat and lie every day of my life
Well I used to cheat and lie every day of my life
Well I lost my possessions I even lost my wife
Used to drink a lot of Whiskey or smoke dope use cocaine
I used to drink a lot of Whisky smoke dope use cocaine
Well the Lord tapped me on the shoulders and said you're free again
The day I got the freedom I got the freedom to choose
Well the day I got the freedom I got the freedom to choose
And then used my bad memories to help me sing the blues.
The Agency Blues.
(White, Harada, Bell, Allen)
Instrumental.
Judgement Day.
(White)
Watch out baby, the past is catching up on you
Watch out baby, the past is catching up on you
Now when it comes to your judgement day
Lord knows what you're gonna do
Listen baby, you've got to change your evil ways
Listen baby, you've got to change your evil ways
Trouble gonna dog you till the end of your days
Trouble gonna dog you
Listen baby you know I worry about you so
Listen baby you know I worry about you so
Now when it comes to your judgement day
Lord knows what you're gonna do.
Ooh-Wee Baby.
(Willie Dixon)
It was early one mornin'
I was on my way to school
It was early one mornin'
I was on my way to school
That was the Monday mornin'
I broke my mama's rule
Ooh-wee-wee baby
You sure look good to me
Ooh-wee-wee baby
You sure look good to me
Sometimes I wonder who can your lover be?
In love with ya baby
Before I learned to call your name
In love with ya baby
Before I learned to call your name
You in love with someone else
You 'bout to drive me insane.
The Rest Of My Life.
(White)
It's so hard to stumble when you've got no place to fall
You know you might be better off if you didn't get on your feet at all
It took me a while to find out
I don't wanna go through the same old scream and shout
I'll be the same for the rest of my life
I won't play that game for the rest of my life
So many towns full of the same old things
And there's so many people fooled by the same old strings
Yeah, I just won't run and hide
'Cause you know I can never be satisfied
I'll leave it all for the rest of my life
I won't hear them call for the rest of my life
Hear me calling, ow!
So many times I sat down and wondered what to do
So many times, but it just ain't no use
I've tried every way I could think of
And all I've got left is the blues
It'll be around for the rest of my life
I'll hear that sound for the rest of my life.
Parchman Farm.
(Mose Allison)
Well I'm sittin' over here on Parchman Farm
Well I'm sittin' over here on Parchman Farm
Well I'm sittin' over here on Parchman Farm
And I ain't never done no man no harm
Well I'm puttin' that cotton in an eleven foot sack
Well I'm puttin' that cotton in an eleven foot sack
Well I'm puttin' that cotton in an eleven foot sack
With a twelve gauge shotgun at my back
I'm sittin' over here on Number Nine
I'm sittin' over here on Number Nine
Well I'm sittin' over here on Number Nine
And all I did was drink my wine
Well I'm gonna be here for the rest of my life
I'm gonna be on this farm for my natural life
Well I'm a gonna be here for the rest of my life
And all I did was shoot my wife
I'm sittin' over here on Parchman Farm.
The Agency Shuffle.
(White, Harada, Bell, Allen)
Instrumental.
Another Man.
(Trad. arr. Bell)
Another man done gone
Another man done gone
Another man done gone
Another man done gone
Another man done gone
On the country farm
He's on the country farm
On the country farm
He's on the country farm
Another man done gone
Another man done gone
Another man done gone
Another man done gone
I did't know his name
Didn't know his name
I didn't know his name
I didn't know his name.
Bonus Track - Edición C.D:
No Place to Go.
(Chester Burnett)
How many more years, are you gonna wreck my life
How many more years, are you gonna wreck my life
Well the way you done, you gonna wreck my life
How many times, you gonna treat me like you do
How many more times, you gonna treat me like you do
You took all of my money, and all of my love too
Now I'm old and gray, got no place to go
Now I'm old and gray, got no place to go
You got yourself a young stud, and you can't stand me no more
I'm going to the stairs, I'm gonna beg ya for my clothes
I'm going to the stairs, I'm gonna beg ya for my clothes
For where I go nobody knows.
Change My Life is the fourth solo album by British blues guitarist Snowy White, and the first under the Snowy White's Blues Agency name, released in 1988.
ResponderEliminarWhite retained the services of bassist Kuma Harada, who had featured on his first three solo albums, and they were joined for this album by singer Graham Bell, who had previously worked with Skip Bifferty and Long John Baldry.
The album featured five original tracks and seven cover versions of old blues songs.
